attack, is lowered on Oct. 11, 2001. The ceremonial lowering,
exactly one month after the terrorist attack was performed by
a team of U.S. Army soldiers from the Military District of Washington.

of remembrance proclaimed by President George W. Bush. The ceremony
will begin with the presentation of the colors and the playing
of the National Anthem at 9:38 a.m., the precise time American
Airlines Flight 77 impacted the southwest face of the building

Anthem at 9:38 a.m., the precise time American Airlines Flight
77 impacted the southwest face of the building killing 184 people.
The ceremony is part of a day of remembrance proclaimed by President
George W. Bush. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard
B. Myers, U.S. Air Force joined Rumsfeld in the remembrance ceremony.
